					<description><![CDATA[During Brasil’s 1964 military coup, my father had to drive from Rio de Janeiro to a nearby town to pick up my mother and bring her back for an operation, taking me with him. We drove unchallenged through loyalist troops parked on the side of the road and I remember him saying that an aircraft would have a field day bombing and strafing them to smithereens. Being a Lancaster and Halifax navigator in WW2 he had front line experience, so this 11 year old paid attention to his every word. In fact, it was always worth remembering his lessons, which still serve me well.]]></description>
