Switch was a 70s tv show featuring Eddie Albert and Robert Wagner. 1 was a conman and in 1 episode, they wanted to con a crook they were filming him for a movie. So they went to a tv production house to ask how much it’d cost to hire some equipment. The production guy said, “oh you need a director” Fine. “You also need a cameraman.” Ok. “And a sound man” No problem. “You also need a green man” Problem – what is a green man? “Oh someone to make sure the shrubs and plants are in order” So the conman said, “how much does it cost to hire a film truck?”
I was 15 then and learnt 2 important lessons. Don’t be too greedy. If tte rental guy hadn’t pushed so hard, the conman wouldn’t have objected.
